International Encyclopedia of Dance covers theatrical, ritual, dance-drama, folk, traditional, ethnic, and social dance. Cultural and national overviews are accompanied by entries on dance forms, music and costumes, performances, and biographies of dancers and choreographers.
JSTOR includes full text articles and eBooks from the Humanities, Social Sciences, and selected science areas.
Gale OneFile: Fine Arts includes articles on art history, music, drama, filmmaking, and related fields
New York Times provides full text access to extensive news, multimedia and archives from the New York Times. Follow the link provided to register with your Point Park email address and claim your academic pass. Best viewed using any web browser but Chrome.
Humanities Source is the most comprehensive resource for humanities research available today. This database provides full text and/or abstracts for scholarly publications covering all aspects of the humanities, with worldwide content pertaining to literary, scholarly and creative thought.
Dance: Academic Video Online features videos of dance productions and documentaries by influential performers and companies of the 20th century. Selections cover ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, experimental, improvisational dance, etc.
Kanopy provides access to over 30,000 online films from thousands of producers. Touching on all topics, featured producers in Kanopy’s collection include Criterion Collection, PBS, HBO, and many more.
EBook Central provides full text access to electronic books covering a variety of subjects. This resource also allows the user to print and take notes electronically.
eBook Collection (EBSCO) provides full text access to electronic books covering a variety of subjects. This resource also allows the user to automatically cite, print, and take notes electronically.
The Request An Article form is for requesting articles that cannot be found at the Point Park University Library. Before requesting an article using this form please check to see if the article is available in the Library's Articles & More or is listed in the Library's Journal Titles+
Find Books
PointCat is the Library's online catalog. You can access PointCat from the Library homepage, it will be the second link on the left. Search PointCat to find books, DVDs, plays and more in Point Park Library's collection.
Use EZBorrow to find books that the Library does not currently have in the collection. EZBorrow is a consortium of numerous university libraries whose catalogs you have access to. To login to EZBorrow, when prompted enter your Point Park University email address and password. Once you log in, you can search EZBorrow and borrow any book that you find available. The books will be delivered to the Library and you will receive an email when they arrive so you can pick them up.
