Basic Format:

Author’s name. (Year Published). Title. Publisher. DOI (if available) 

Example:

Stroh, D. P. (2015). Systems thinking for social change : A practical guide to solving complex problems, avoiding

     unintended consequences, and achieving lasting results. Chelsea Green Publishing.

Basic Format:

Author’s names. (Year Published). Title. Publisher. DOI (if available) 

Example:

Zinn, H., Buhle, P., & Konopacki, M. (2008). A people’s history of American empire: A graphic adaptation (1st ed.).

     Metropolitan Books / Henry Holt & Company.

 

Basic Format:

Editor’s name (Ed.). (Year Published). Title. Publisher. DOI (if available) 

Example:

Wenner, J. (Ed.). (1987). 20 years of Rolling Stone: What a long, strange trip it’s been. Friendly Press. 

  • Use (Ed.) after one editor’s name and (Eds.) after multiple editor’s names, followed by a period 

For eBooks, follow the same format as print books:

Author’s name. (Year Published). Title. Publisher. DOI (if available) 

Example:

Chikowero, M. (2015). African music, power, and being in colonial Zimbabwe. Indiana University Press.

  • if a DOI is available, it comes at the end of the citation and is preceded by https://doi.org/

NOTE ON CAPITALIZATION: USE SENTENCE CASE CAPITALIZATION FOR SOURCE TITLES. CAPITALIZE THE FIRST WORD OF THE TITLE, ALL PROPER NOUNS AND THE FIRST WORD OF A SUBTITLE.
