Set in a Welsh mining town, this play follows the characters of teacher Mrs. Moffat and her pupil Morgan Evans. Over a period of 3 years, Mrs. Moffat attempts to help Morgan Evans reach his schlarly potential in a town where all boys over the age of 12 are expected to work in the town's mines. The play deals with issues of gender, class and education.
